The Rights of Refugees in Turkey: Primary Resources
Many of these documents are original source material for the story, “Closed Doors, Open Secrets: How the World Abandoned Millions of Syrian Refugees in Turkey.” Documents include Turkish laws and policies, UN conventions and protocols, status reports and more. Annotations in the documents are marked in the right-hand margin. All notes were written by Emily Troutman. The documents are available for download as a pdf.
As time goes on, these documents will become more essential. They form a legal and policy framework for the ongoing rights of refugees in Turkey. The Turkish government and the humanitarian community have a responsibility to protect people in a changing environment. Search all documents using the search box at the bottom of this post.
